Beneath the Clee you will find secret valleys, quiet villages and long forgotten industries—making this a fascinating area to explore by bike. Old fashioned farming hamlets, still farming hops, apples and even mistletoe flourish in the Teme Valley. Your overnight stops are in medieval Ludlow and the ancient settlement of Kingsland.

Easy to moderate cycling with some hills and a longer mileage on day two. But there are short cuts, giving you plenty of time for lunch or visiting Berrington Hall (National Trust) for a grand afternoon tea! Total 63 miles/ 101km (or 37 miles/ 60km with short cuts).

Day 1. Petchfield Farm to Ludlow. 12 miles/ 19km. Cycle to Ludlow, following the River Teme and two country estates. Explore Bromfield church with its painted ceiling , then cycle Ņoff road Ō, past Clive of IndiaÕs former home. Ludlow is a medieval, fortified town dominated by its Norman castle, with lots of really good places to eat and drink (including two Michelin starred restaurants).

Day 2 Ludlow to Kingsland. Choice of cycle routes 16-42 miles (26-68km). A big cycling day - but you can chose how far you want to cycle! The routes take you under the Clee Hills to the market town of Cleobury Mortimer, (home of HobsonÕs Brewery), past cider orchards & hop fields to Tenbury Wells and the National TrustÕs Berrington Hall. Kingsland is a picturesque half-timbered village with two pubs and a teashop.

Day 3. Kingsland to Petchfield Farm. 12 miles/ 19km. Return to Petchfield Farm via the gardens of Croft Castle. Remember to stop at Yarpole church for coffee - to see the unique bell tower. Finishing any time in the afternoon, back at Petchfield Farm
