Our most popular walking tour...Lots of people want to enjoy the walk and the challenge of completing the whole 30 mile Trail in one short holiday.  This is a three day walking tour starting from Kington leading through Titley & Aymestrey and spending your last night in Ludlow.  We transport you to the start & finish of your walk.

**The Mortimer Trail is the only walking tour in the UK starting & finishing with a Michelin star restaurant.  Walkers can start their tour with a special meal at The Stagg and celebrate the completion of their 30 mile walk two days later in one of LudlowÕs Michelin Star restaurants (Mr UnderhillÕs and La Becasse) **

Walk Description. Walking on well signposted routes, through a variety of terrain – farmland, woodland & open moorland.  Some short, steep sections. Total 30 miles/48km.

Day 1.  Kington to Titley.  6 miles/ 10km.   Leaving your car at Petchfield Farm, you are taken to Kington, for the start of The Mortimer Trail.  Kington is a quiet market town with plenty of places to stop for lunch.  The trail takes you away from the Welsh border, over Offa's Dyke and eventually down to the village of Titley.  Staying at The Stagg at Titley (Hotel/Inn option), or a local guesthouse in Presteigne. The Stagg Inn was the first inn in the UK to receive a Michelin star - Its  a fantastic place to stay, and turns the holiday into a real treat.

Day 2.  Titley to Aymestrey.  12 miles/ 19km.  Today's walk, takes you along a series of ridges to the Hill fort in Wapley forest, then down to the Lugg valley and Aymestrey gorge.  A lovely walk with great views & some beautiful woodland stretches. Overnight stop at a country inn or guest house (excellent reputation for food).

Day 3.  Aymestrey to Ludlow.  12 miles/ 19km. Your last day's walk takes you once more into the hills - up to the Iron Age fort of Croft Ambrey and the National Trust land's of Croft Castle.  Follow the trail through  Bircher Common and up into Mortimer Forest (brilliant, 360 degree  views from High Vinnalls) and eventually down into the medieval town of Ludlow for your last night's stop.  Stay at the Feathers Hotel (Hotel/Inn option) or unique local guesthouse in the historic centre of Ludlow.

Day 4.  Ludlow to Petchfield Farm.  Your last day & time to explore Ludlow.  We arrange to pick you up at a time convenient to you & take you back to Petchfield Farm to collect your car & luggage.
