Herefordshire and the Wye Valley
A wonderful cycling area through old cider orchards and the quiet river valleys of the Arrow and the Lugg. The southern boundary to this area is marked by the dramatic River Wye.
Our routes take you through a string of Black and White villages, each with its own teashop and pub. There are a number of unusual gardens to visit and several historic houses, including the National Trust properties of Croft Castle and Berrington Hall. |

We've been cycling a route across the Welsh hills and down to the Wye Valley to Hay on Wye & returning through the Black and White villages for several years now...We thought it was great ... but weren't too sure whether other people might not find the short stretch across the hill at Glascwm a bit too hard. Wildlife Cycling & Canoeing Safari

This is an action packed holiday. Combine the two day cycling safari with a wonderful canoe trip down the River Wye on the third day. Easy cycling - mainly following river valleys with the occasional short steep bit. Total 24 to 36 miles. Canoeing 9 miles. Canadian canoes take 2/3 people (or 2 adults & 2 smaller children). Easy paddling downstream to Hay on Wye or Whitney on Wye, where you'll be collected & returned to base.
