Day 1. Petchfield Farm to Ludlow
Cycle to Ludlow, following the River Teme and two country estates. Explore Bromfield church with its painted ceiling, then cycle off road, past Clive of India’s former home. Ludlow is a medieval, fortified town dominated by its Norman castle, with lots of really good places to eat and drink. There is plenty to do from guided walks, an outstanding church, swimming pool and assembly room (films & live theatre). Total 12 -16 miles (19 - 26 km)
Day 2. Explore Ludlow
Cycle to the Clee Hills to discover the idyllic Heath Chapel or visit Stokesay Castle constructed at the end of the 13th century by Laurence of Ludlow, who at the time was one of the richest men in England. This iconic fortified manor house is now managed by English Heritage. You can also visit Acton Scott Heritage Farm and Acton Hall, made famous by the BBC's Victorian Farm series. Choice of cycle routes 14 - 22 miles (23 - 35 km)
Day 3. Ludlow to Petchfield Farm
Visit the lovely market town of Tenbury Wells with its old-fashioned teashops and recently restored Victorian Spa buildings or cycle to Richards Castle, one of the first Norman castles built in this country.... before 1066. You can also visit Berrington Hall or Croft Castle (National Trust) if you are feeling energetic. Finishing any time in the afternoon, back at Petchfield Farm. Total 14 - 23 miles (23 - 37 km).
