BBC Escape to the Country
Shropshire - Series 17 - Episode 50 - Cycling in Shropshire
We had great fun, filming with BBC1's Escape from the Country film crew last summer. Our part in the filming was to show the Ross family that Cycling in Shropshire is great fun for all the family... and a good reason to move here (after all that's what we did!)
The BBC filmed at our cycling holiday and cycle hire base Petchfield Farm, and many of our favourite cycling locations; like our "Quietest Cycle Tour under the Sun", Hopton Castle, Clun, Burrington Bridge and Ludlow. Here are some photos of the filming and locations. If you would like to explore Shropshire By Bike, try a cycling holiday, hire a bike or buy cycling maps to show you the best places to cycle in Shropshire.
Quiet country lanes, fantastic views and loads of history, make Shropshire a great place to explore by bike. If you prefer mountain biking or sportives, then Shropshire has great off road routes & events too.
You can see the episode on BBC iplayer or Youtube (if you don't want to watch it all, the section with Wheely Wonderful Cycling is 16mins- 20mins into the programme)
