Booking Conditions

PRICE. Includes everything listed, and is based on two adults sharing a room and luggage transfers. Child prices are for children under 16 years, and children under 12 years at the start of their holiday (see child price list). 

SOLO TRAVELLERS. A supplement is charged (see solo price list) to cover the costs of luggage transfers and accommodation which is normally shared between two people. 

CONFIRMATION AND PAYMENT. On receiving your online holiday booking form, we will confirm your booking by email, and will include confirmation of prices, dates, itinerary and an invoice - either for (a) deposit of £75pp on short breaks, £150pp on longer holidays or (b) The full holiday cost if you book within 12 weeks of your holiday start date. 

CARD AND PAYMENT DETAILS . Card details are never kept on a computer.  We are PCI compliant. Bank card fees will be deducted from any refunds.

TRAVEL REGULATIONS 2018. Your deposit and final balance payment will be held in a trust fund until your holiday is completed. This ensures financial security for your holiday and is to comply with Package Travel Regulations 2018. 

INSURANCE. We highly recommend that you are adequately insured for your holiday. We cannot be responsible for your own illness or injury or for damage or loss to your luggage while on holiday. This insurance should also cover the possibility of your having to cancel your trip for whatever reason and cover any non returnable costs. 

GROUPSWe provide all the holiday information in email format,  so it is easy to share.  The person who makes the booking is the Group Leader.   The group leader is responsible for coordinating the group members requirements/queries. Please make sure that everyone has all the details agreed.   Payments must be made as single payments (i.e. one for deposit, one for balance).   Please remember that cancellation charges do apply if individuals in your group cancel their holiday.  Insurance  is highly recommended for group bookings. 

LATE BOOKINGS AND ALTERATIONS. If you book your holiday within twelve weeks of your start date, the full holiday cost becomes due at the time of booking. If you wish to alter your booking after it has been confirmed, there will normally be a fee of £50 per person, and any further cost we incur in making this alteration. If you want to transfer to another holiday or change your start date - this is regarded as a cancellation. 

IF YOU WISH TO CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAY. We must receive a written notice of cancellation, by the person who made the booking. The following cancellation charges apply from the date of receipt of your letter/email.

  • More than 42 days before the start date - deposit (£75pp or £150pp)

  • Between 42-15 days before the start date - 50% of total cost

  • Less than 14 days before the start date - 100% of total cost.

 

CANCELLATIONS/ALTERATIONS BY WHEELY WONDERFUL CYCLING. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a holiday due to circumstances beyond our control we will offer an alternative date or make a full refund. We reserve the right to make alterations to an itinerary if the circumstances require it. We are not liable for any expenses or losses beyond the holiday booking.

BOOKING FROM ABROAD. If you are booking from outside the UK. All payments must be made in Sterling. Transfer and currency exchange costs to be borne by the sender. All communications completed by email.  We do charge a small overseas booking fee, to cover extra banking and administration costs. The non refundable fee is £45 per booking.

SAFETY FIRST. In the interests of safety we will only equip with cycles those customers who are able to satisfy us that they are competent cyclists at the time they receive our bikes and equipment. If for any reason we are not satisfied that a customer is a competent cyclist, we reserve the right not to provide the customer with a bikes and equipment.

BICYCLES AND EQUIPMENT. You are responsible for the care and safekeeping of the bicycle and ancillary equipment. You undertake to cycle prudently and sensibly at all times, and to ensure that the bike is securely locked to an immovable object (in a safe location) when left unattended. All bicycles and equipment must be kept in a securely locked building overnight. You agree indemnify us for any loss or damage arising from any act or default on your part, or on the part of any member of your party.

GIFT VOUCHERS.  Vouchers are normally valid for 1 year.  If the recipient wants to redeem the voucher after this date, they must contact us. If we do not hear from the recipient we will assume the holiday is not wanted. The money will be held available for the recipient's use for 2 years. After this period the voucher will be cancelled with no refund.

COMPLAINTS & PROBLEMS. In the unlikely event of a complaint. Please let us know immediately by telephone. Problems should be rectified there and then. If you remain dissatisfied we must have a written complaint within 28 days of your return home.
